Testimonials

Yves La Roche, motivational speaker

On November 19, 2005, Yves La Roche, President of Motivacom, retained the services of HÉLÈNE FORTIER PUBLIC RELATIONS to manage, coordinate and develop his conferences' activities. Mme. Fortier will also share her offices with the Yves La Roche Foundation for Youth and the Future, thus providing it with visibility in the heart of the capital. Hélène Fortier takes on the mandate with great enthusiasm. Why? Because it will help spread the message of this exceptional man, a man with the ability to show us that we are all champion.

All his life, Yves La Roche has worked tirelessly to achieve his objectives. As a world-class athlete, he dedicated himself to developing his mental strength, his motivational skills and his capacity for visualization, which helped him become a double World Cup winner in aerial skiing.

World Cup champion in aerial
skiing in 1984 and 1986

Victim of a terrible hand-gliding accident in 1989, Yves La Roche spent 61 days in a coma. In spite of the numerous side effects, he has always considered himself privileged that life gave him a second chance. After his accident, he had to overcome multiple challenges, but each passing day brought a new victory and a new reason to be proud.

Several years ago, when he was invited to schools to hand out sports awards, Yves systematically asked each recipient what dream motivated them to perform so well. To his great surprise, most answered with a shrug. That’s when he made his decision to devote his energy to helping others find their dream and to believe in it, so that they can fulfill their goals and objectives -at their own rhythm, in respect of others, and by tackling challenges that they themselves, not others, have set. In 2004, Yves La Roche met more than 18,000 young people at all school levels.

Recognizing that each moment is precious, Yves La Roche wants to make people more aware of their own future, help them recognize the fragility of life but also the great rewards it provides when given the chance. Based on his own life experience and reflecting a genuine desire to share it, his message of hope, determination, and of pushing one’s limits touches everyone in a profound way. Yves La Roche takes the same energetic approach towards every audience: students, business people, associations, social and sports groups. His goal? Help make every one of us a winner!

His conferences

Entirely dedicated to the message that he delivers each day to those who cross his path, Yves La Roche wants to spark the flame of a champion in everyone.

Everyone, but especially the young, needs to find their dream, to rekindle the desire to make an effort, and to set goals. By drawing upon his own life, Yves La Roche talks about hope, determination, perseverance, and surpassing ourselves. He pushes us towards victory! One can’t help but be moved by the powerful emotions evoked by this extraordinary life. You’ll come out of it enriched.

The students, crowded onto benches, windowsills, the floor, everywhere, were hanging on to every word. He held them breathless with his extraordinary courage…I was speechless.”
